Physics was...cool. I think I wouldn't have been able to do the bonus if it wasn't for WZY teaching me kircchoff's (sp?) rules or something. Although I know I'm supposed to be able to do the bonus without knowing his rules BUT STILL.
Geography next. I'm not going to care about Maths or French. So that's that. And I realise it's more interesting studying random facts that can be used in geog. Or what dr chionh calls 'case studies'. Did you know that the 22 countries with HDI less than 0.500 calculated last year were all from Africa? Did you know that Libya has the highest HDI of all the countries in Africa?
Fine, maybe I'm ill-informed. But it's making me more curious about these places. I never even knew Singapore was within top 30 for HDI. And the top is actually Norway and Iceland. I wonder why. And Switzerland's before France! I don't know why but I've taken a liking for Switzerland since 'La Fête de la Francophonie'.
Ms. Lim from MOELC has just called me to tell me that MingHwa has withdrawn from the Bordeaux Exchange Programme, and I was the first on the reserve list. I'm still tempted to go there of course. I mean, how often do you get to go to France with a group of good friends?
But it's just hosting people. I'm never good at that. And I don't even want to try. It helps for the interviewers to tell me that I'm 'individualistic'. That adjective has stuck ever since. I'm 'individualistic' and I like being alone. Is that really true? Yea I like my space but being alone in this world is terrible. Humans are sociable by nature aren't they?
Sigh. 2 more days to decide. Let's wait till then I suppose.
